Hmm, I will disagree here, IBM is a business, and as such they will always look to maximize revenue.
Currently they resell Redhat Linux, If they buy Sun, they will pretty much own Solaris. Do the math... what brigs them more money? Selling Solaris or reselling Linux? I am not saying that they will stop selling Linux, but I have a very good idea of what they will recommend to their customers ... What is the most interesting in this possible acquisition is: What will happen with SPARC? But then again, is this deal going to happen?
