Share darkhelmetjpgSun chairman and co-founder Scott McNealy probably has a good joke or two about the way the company’s acquisition discussions with IBM (IBM) have gone down, but he won’t he won’t be relating them as CEO any time soon. That seems to be the word from Sun (JAVA), which this afternoon dismissed speculation that McNealy will replace CEO Jonathan Schwartz in the aftermath of the deal’s collapse. “As a policy Sun does not comment on rumors or speculation,” the company said in a terse statement. “What we can say is that Sun is committed to its leadership team, growth strategy and building value for its shareholders.” Whether that is a true vote of confidence remains to be seen.
