I am having a problem with the latest builds of Virtual Box. The Tun/Tap driver will load sometimes on boot and other times it won't. When it does not load VirtualBox will refuse to start stating the interface does not exist.
Is there a way to not use the Tun/Tap driver and to go back to the Crossbow way of tapping into the NIC? The older Versions using vnic was a little clumsy but 100% reliable.
