Same here: My (new) 2008.11 OpenSolaris fileserver is not allowed to be connected to the internet because of security restrictions of our company. Is there a way to download the repository files and build a local repository? My idea is that this should work in a similar way debian, openSUSE or RH/CentOS does it: "offline repositories"!
(Indepenent of the firewall restrictions, I do not have a good feeling, to connect a (heavily) unpatched server to the Internet, to get the patches.)
