We've created a new group especially for you on Facebook. It's called
OpenSolaris User Group Leaders. You can share photos, presentations,
videos. Announce events. Collaborate. It's up to you. Please join!
If it's easier, send me a friend request, and I'll send you an
invitiation.

I joined this group. Thanks for setting it up. :) FB is a convenient app
to connect people for these types of user activities around the world. I
find it extremely valuable in Tokyo as we connect to both Japanese and
international communities here. And there are a bunch of new OSUGs
showing up on FB now, just as there have been on Yahoo and Google for a
while. And on LinkedIn, too. I have been starting to add some links to
these groups in our OSUG grid. I'm trying not to overlap too much with
what we have, but instead just add links so people have more pointers to
more groups. There are 133 groups on our grid now in various states of
evolution. Also cool is that some OSUGs are forming sub-groups, so if
that is a reality in your area I'd like to list you guys as well.
Keeping track of all this is not perfect since there are so many
platforms offering space now, but at least it's an attempt to collect
the data and links:

Remember, if you'd like opensolaris.org infrastructure (project space &
mailing list) you have to propose a new group on advocacy-discuss. The
process is simple but there is now a deadline -- June 15th -- to get new
group infrastructure on the site before we go into our temporary
moratorium for the summer as we prepare to migrate to XWiki.

However, if you have a group on another network somewhere, we'd be more
than happy to list you on our OSUG leaders grid. We are not only
building new OSUGs, Communities, and Projects here on opensolaris.org,
but we'd also like to /connect existing/ groups that live on other
platforms as well.
