Ok, I see this is already being discussed in a different thread. Sad to read that this will take some more time. I'd have expected such a rollback mechanism for zpools to be already implemented. Anyway, my problem seems to be routed in VirtualBox unfortunate ignorance for cache flushes. So I'll just reinstall...
