I've also noticed this, but with an actual image-update to build 122 - something between the interaction of VirtualBox (3.0.4, no guest additions), OSX and likely a graphics driver for XOrg is providing a lot of slowness. Takes probably upwards of 10 seconds to render the GDM login screen. Completely unusable.
