Hello,
I've tried early this week to upgrade from OS 2009.06 freshly installed on my
ThinkPad T500 to the latest greatest dev build (I hope I'm right assuming this
is b129). Whole upgrade went fine and I've been able to boot new solaris with
few WARNINGS printed to the console. The problem is I'm not able to use this
build since it provides kind of completely broken gnome-terminal and xterm. I
think the best is to show picture:
http://mico.org/~karel/b129_broken_terminal_and_xterm.png -- in gnome terminal
echo is not working (I don't see what I'm writing) and things are printed just
after hitting enter (looks really like flushing of characters is switched off).
Also the problem is that carrage-return kind of does not work (see the
picture). I've tried to workaround this issue by using xterm, but while
starting this it complains about not enough ptys -- you are also able to see
this in provided picture.
My question is: is it a well known bug somewhere reported already or shall I
report it somewhere? Or even better have I made any mistake on the road and
this issue is easily fixable?
Also if anybody could tell me how to mount opensolaris-2 BE from OS 2009.06
(opensolaris-1 BE) I would be happy to provide content of the /var/adm/messages
file as b129 complains with some WARNINGS about my T500 hardware (and BIOS).
Thanks!
Karel
