Using my military background I would say that it is sound strategy to
withdraw ones forces just before a major offensive.

Another silly expression is "the calm before the storm."

Either way we need to be cognizant of the significant management change
that is happening inside Sun with the arrival of Oracle. I would think
that an assessment would be made of the current inventory, liabilities and
other concerns and you should expect to see some things vanish or be off
loaded or sold off. Other wonderful things ( SPARC ) will be protected and
uplifted. Under no circumstances would anyone expect "business as usual"
which has not gone all that well over the past four years. No, I would
expect that there will be sharp focus on the bottom line retained equity
for Oracle and responsibility to the shareholders. Larry Ellison is no
fool.

I would *expect* and welcome change.
