As Shawn mentioned, you're probably setting yourself up for a world of hurt. What are you trying to accomplish? Why have /etc separate from /? What needs to be non-persistent? If you're trying to set up a kiosk-type of machine and don't want users saving files to it, you could simply make the homedir/var areas non-persistent... and by that, I mean snapshot the datasets and roll them back on reboot. _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
