This bug is not GDM-related (reproducible with GDM disabled).  
~/.xsession-errors doesn't contain any useful information.

As I understand, something is wrong with Xorg or libpixman (for more info, look 
at http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=13540 ).
I've attached Xorg core dumps to this bug report.
