Everything in this universe has a start and eventually an end. A big part of the computing history has just died. Sun has set.
I want to personally thank each and every Sun employee for the job well done! What you guys did was amazing! Sun Solaris is absolutely amazing operating system and one of the best in the world. Sun's Java technology is also a great achievement. It is good to see Java is doing very well in 2010 and it brings smile to my face when I notice a big player like Google is using Sun's Java as the basis for their Android operating system. To me this tells me that Sun's employees have done a great job. A job very, very well done! Thank you guys! It makes me sad to see those red Oracle logos even here on opensolaris.org webpages, but I suppose we just have to get used to it. Here is a scene called "binary sunset".
