Hardware was what I suspected, as well. What happened was that I was using the machine, all was well, I closed the lid to move to another room, and when I opened it again ... :(
That netbook has a key combination to switch the WiFi interface on and off (FN F8), but I don't know if it works under OpenSolaris. What's worrying is that the applet on the top menubar for networks has disappeared. Completely. I can still configure the network by going through the Administration menu, but when I try to configure and activate arn0, it spits out an error. I uninstalled SUNWarn and reinstalled it. No joy.
