Hi there. I have replaced the old (3.0 beta) bundled firefox with Firefox 3.6. Then I noticed that Java doesn't work anymore in the browser. I followed the tutorial here: http://java.sun.com/javase/6/webnotes/install/jre/manual-plugin-install-solaris.html Linked to the new JRE plugin directory. But still no good.
I'm using OpenSolaris 2009.06 When I try to run a Java Fx component the following message is shown: Java Coffee Cup A newer version of Java is needed to view the application. Click to update Java. When I try to run a Java Applet like the one from here: http://java.sun.com/applets/jdk/1.4/demo/applets/BarChart/example1.html# it also requires to install java plugin What could be happening?
