I don't think that anyone is upset about the boot pool mirroring capabilities.  
It works as advertised.  The bug in question (which has a documented 
workaround) is that a disk failure will prevent opensolaris from booting.  
Obviously, this isn't the idea situation since half of the mirror is still 
functioning.

That there is a workaround is good, but many adopters of OpenSolaris do not 
bother to read the outstanding bug list.  Countless of times I see a post for 
help when they hit one these. For an official release, such as 2010.3 (2010.4?) 
will be, it would get an undeserved bad rep if something like this prevents it 
from booting for a user.

I'm only saying that there are some outstanding issues that may delay the 
2010.3 release.  This is unfortunate and undesirable but totally understandable.

This is why I support the notion of a critical fix repository, where security 
and other critical fixes can augment the official release repository, rather 
than doing the dev repository dance.
