Hmm, I do have here DL585 fully loaded (i.e. 8 opteron cores) for NUMA 
development/testing and I can assure you Solaris 10 is better choice than 
OpenSolaris on this kind of hardware. The reason is simple: level of support 
you get from HP. For Solaris 10 everything is working and tested/supported. For 
OpenSolaris nearly nothing (I mean from HP's own packages). I'm most interested 
in HPQhealth package which provides for example even such "developer friendly" 
feature like decreasing fan rotation speed to 54%. i.e. my ears even in room 
next to the serverroom are more happy with this.

To be honest recent OpenSolaris 134 text installer was running fine and been 
able to install the to drive array, so here it gots its marks in comparison 
with Solaris10 where you need to supply driver diskette. On the other hand this 
is happily available from HP's support page...
