I am trying to export a couple of directories and have the following sharetab
entries:

/export/home/tide/sirius/etc    -       nfs
sec=sys,rw,root=.devlab.sinenomine.net  Sirius Config
/export/home/tide/OpenSolaris/sirius/onnv-gate/proto/root_s390  -       nfs
sec=sys,rw,root=.devlab.sinenomine.net  Sirius Tree

The share command confirms this:

-               /export/home/tide/sirius/etc
sec=sys,rw,root=.devlab.sinenomine.net   "Sirius Config"
-               /export/home/tide/OpenSolaris/sirius/onnv-gate/proto/root_s390
 sec=sys,rw,root=.devlab.sinenomine.net   "Sirius Tree"

I want hosts in the .devlab.sinenomine.net domain to have root access to the
shares. When I mount from a linux host (172.17.16.136 -
host136-va.devlab.sinenomine.net) the mount works, I get r/w access, but the
ownership of all files and directories is set to 65535 - i.e. root= is being
ignored. I have tried variations, e.g., [email protected],
root=172.17.16.136, [email protected] but none result in the host getting root
access.

I think I've missed something quite obvious but I can't see it for the looking.
