Good Evening,
I have a small Atom based NAS, running build 134, using a Silicon Image 3124 controller and a raidz zpool with 5 disks - not using anything funky like dedup, compression etc - however i seem to be seeing this bug: http://bugs.opensolaris.org/bugdatabase/view_bug.do;jsessionid=622a4828714cd0382000b9764e83?bug_id=6796802 And i found this previous post that is exactly what im seeing: http://www.archivum.info/[email protected]/2008-10/00203/Re:-[zfs-discuss]-Troubleshooting-ZFS-performance-with-SIL3124-cards.html I know there are a fair few bugs reported on the bugdb, but does any one have any experience with this card? Or any ideas for how i might work to mitigate it? Im not looking for blistering performance but the blocking can cause a stuttering when streaming media from the NAS - this doesnt pose an issue most of the time, as most of the I/O is pretty light generally speaking. But can be annoying none the less. Thanks, -- iMx [email protected] www.slashdevslashnull.com
