That's no change from the way Sun ran the OpenSolaris distro since the first
release in 2008.05 - if you wanted updates you either followed the /dev repo
or bought a support contract - there were no free fixes for the stable branch,
so the answer would presumably be the same as all those who were previously
willing to install prior OpenSolaris releases.
