Solaris has never ran on a mainframe that I'm aware, but OpenSolaris was
ported. However, I believe Oracle let it go. No doubt because it would help
IBM. But did anyone ever use it commercially (I very highly doubt it)?
Oracle says they're the only company do have top-to-bottom ("Hardware.
software. complete") but I think they're forgetting about IBM, who has done
that far longer than Oracle.
