I have exactly one product name for you: "Sun Blade". > There is no commercial benefit for oracle to try displacing ubuntu in > the desktop market. No, but there IS a commercial benefit in trying to get (back) into graphics workstations. The customer looking for a serious workstation usually has less difficulty paying for quality than the user looking for a webbrowser-in-a-box. A Solaris box capable of running display calibration software (Spyder) and Lightroom+DxO Optics+Photomatix Pro+PhotoShop would get my attention rather efficiently. And I know the Geoframe Charisma users out there are more than willing to pay for Sun^wOracle boxes... Now what was your argument again? //Svein -- --------+-------------------+------------------------------- /"\ |Svein Skogen | [email protected] \ / |Solberg Østli 9 | PGP Key: 0xE5E76831 X |2020 Skedsmokorset | [email protected] / \ |Norway | PGP Key: 0xCE96CE13 | | [email protected] ascii | | PGP Key: 0x58CD33B6 ribbon |System Admin | [email protected] Campaign|stillbilde.net | PGP Key: 0x22D494A4 +-------------------+------------------------------- |msn messenger: | Mobile Phone: +47 907 03 575 |[email protected] | RIPE handle: SS16503-RIPE --------+-------------------+------------------------------- If you really are in a hurry, mail me at [email protected] This mailbox goes directly to my cellphone and is checked even when I'm not in front of my computer. ------------------------------------------------------------ Picture Gallery: https://gallery.stillbilde.net/v/svein/ ------------------------------------------------------------
