Has anyone here used Oracle (formerly Sun) VDI in a SMB environment? I'm interested in using it to deploy a graphics-intensive Windows application that utilizes DirectX, but am worried about how desktop virtualization handles these types of calls.
My idea (still planning) is a VMware ESXi backend, deploying a Windows XP or Vista desktop with the application. Reading all the documentation sounds fine, but should I be reading more into the internals of how VMware, RDP, etc. use these?
