A community distro will need to fix a lot in the build system. I still do not understand why Sun did vever fix the build system. The current need of so called "flag days" is no more than a result of a bad build system. A build system that is self hosting does not depend on a specific underlying OS. I am currently bit enervated as I installed the SS-12.1 tarbarll as noted on the website but I still get compiler errors from compiling b130 on SXCE b130.
