Hello,

to put this information into context. I guess when I booted with both new
drives attached for the first time fmd complained about some issue and then one
of the two drives was not present in cfgadm list. I suspected bad SATA cable so
I powered off and replace the cable and the booted again. The drive does not
show in cfgadm again and that was the time I started experimenting with
configure/unconfigure&Co. Anyway, now both cables should be ok since I've also
booted rescue linux and it shows the drives and was able to touch them well.

After sending first post I've also tried to boot with `-r' parameter to force
device reconfiguration, but this does not help even if I tried to first unplug
drives, reconfigure, plug drives and reconfigure again. Please note <plug>
means power-off, plug, power-on as my workstation does not provide hot-plug
cages.

My board is venerable Asus P5W64 WS Pro, which is intel 775 socket + intel 975X
north bridge board.

Thanks for any idea how the get my drives assigned again to some /dev/dsk/
device!

Karel
