I don't think ultrasparc IV will work on 2500, If i remember correctly ultrasparc IV were first used on sun's sun fire units. According to the links down below, I think you have to use another ultrasparc IIIi. CPU. It appears the ultrasparcs III go between $65-$300 depends if they are used or new and whom you buy them from and if they are compatible:-) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260574092649&rvr_id=134596530639&crlp=1_263602_263622&UA=L*F%3F&GUID=de8ded8212a0a47a0454d514ffc10b6a&itemid=260574092649&ff4=263602_263622 http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=wrf&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&q=1.28GHz+UltraSPARC+III+buy&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=5399416584864510349&ei=KbOCTIKOJovUtQPw7KH3Bw&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=3&ved=0CCQQ8wIwAg# http://www.google.com/products?q=1.28GHz+UltraSPARC+III&hl=en&aq=f found some info( don't know if yours is either: silver or red): http://www.blade-2500.com/ http://www.sunshack.org/data/sh/2.1.8/infoserver.central/data/syshbk/Systems/SunBlade2500S/SunBlade2500S.html -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org
