Hi - would someone be able to help me figure out why I can't install the above on my x86 OpenSolaris 2009.6 install? I just wanted to take a look at this product to see what sort use it might be within our Sun infrastructure without actually installing in our live environment so have got OpenSolaris running as a virtual machine within VirtualBox.
So I've downloaded the smc zip file, installed the Java JDK dependencies and then tried to install by doing: [b]sudo ./es-guiinst[/b] I get the initial screen when the Install Wizard opens and click Next, but it then errors and states [b]"The Wizard could not detect the source files. Exiting"[/b] The actual install notes do say to do this as the root user but when I try that the wizard doesn't even launch it fails with: [b]"The DISPLAY environment variable must be set to a valid X server"[/b] I've tried setting the DISPLAY variable but no look and I'm not entirely sure why this is happening, the install notes seem to say I just need to run this and that's about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
