It means according to the motherboard manual that each SATA port supports one 
6GB device, so you will be able to connect only 5 devices total.

It means that the board has been updated probably with new features: PCB or the 
PCBA
the only problem i can see is when you order your board you won't really know 
which bios version it comes with and if the cpu you purchase is supported by 
that BIOS release.   I have seen cases where the board won''t boot until the 
BIOS have been flashed to support new CPU's
that is what lead me to buy only Intel boards and CPU's; they always get 
support first for their own CPUs. well that is what seems to me:-)
