When OpenSolaris installs itself it doesn't touch the MBR (Master Boot Recort - 
first sector of the hard disk). Instead it installs GRUB in the first cylinder 
of the Solaris partition and sets the active flag on this (and also clears the 
active flag on your Windows 7 partition). If Windows 7 changes the active 
partition you can use Windows "Disk Management" tool (or some other tool) to 
change it back to restore GRUB as the main boot loader.
