if you had updated or installed snv_b122 or higher , the kernel has a new sound architecture called Boomer which is based on OSS, if sound has issues on your MB or features that do not work, you need to submit RFE at http://www.opensolaris.org/bug/report.jspa and include the node for the sound card from the output of:
