Dear all,
I installed the latest OpenSolaris 2009 June, and I am satisfied with the
progress made in the packaging system and ease of installation. However, there
are some issues I have with the wireless network configuration. I can't get it
to connect to my home network as it seems that there are some options missing
from both Authentication and Security. But let me report all problems I
encountered.

1) It keeps saying in tooltips/pop-up messages again-and-again: "New networks
found", "Switching from iwh0 to rge0 and vice versa" etc.
2) Assume I want to connect to my Network (lets suppose it has essid "mywifi").
My home network, "mywifi" Authenication is not Open System. It is Shared Key.
In Linux I can choose Shared Key, and then give the "WEP 64/128 bit Hex". In
Linux I have the following choices when it realizes that my security is WEP:
a) WEP 128 bit Passphrase,
b) WEP 64/128-bit Hex
c) WEP 64/128-bit ASCII

In OpenSolaris however, the network configuration only gives you "Open System"
as Authentication, and (a,c) or (b,c) (I am not sure which of the two
combinations) as Security. Is this a feature which is not yet implemented? How
could I enable the missing ones?

Thanks,
Archwn.
