i am trying to install opensolaris following the outline in: http://opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=45594&tstart=0
i could not longer locate boot/multiboot, so i changed the grub kernel line to be: grub> kernel platform/i86pc/kernel/unix -v - install -B install_media=cdrom,console=ttya and i couldn't find x86.miniroot, i changed the module line to be: grub> module boot/x86.microroot i can then boot to the login prompt, but i am expecting install to start and it doesn't. how do i get install to start? if it should start, how do i figure why it is not starting? if it can't start in text mode - is there a process for bringing up one of the ethernet ports and using ssh to run x on a remote machine? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
