Sorry for my late reply, busy.
Thanks for the advice.

I commented out the device section for the nvidia driver and got rid of the
modes.

It didn't work out. The device section for the nivdia driver is simply not
used, as I understand it as in the "screen" section you point out what driver
the screen session actually uses from the ones listed above, as is in my case
the "general video card" identifier that uses "vboxvideo" as the driver.

Without the listed modes I get some default 4:3 resolutions up to 1280x1024,
and I need 1920x1200.
Appart from getting some default modes listed instead of the ones I listed,
nothing happened.
I also tried reinstalling the guest additions.

It seems that with this "vboxvideo" driver I haven't got Hardware acceleration
(openGL)
Can you, or someone else, tell me if this is in fact the driver (obviously the
one that virtualbox puts in) I need to have for HW acceleration?
Also -and I'am not entirely sure- I recall that installing the "guest
additions" from Virtualbox actually added the nvidia driver in the device
section of xorg.conf below the "vboxvideo" driver.

A bit confused here.
