Hi, Hitting the same problem on my home system, but SATA (AHCI mode) drives. Tried making 2nd HDD first boot device (both via system setup and one time boot menu). Tried telling LILO (loader on 1st drive) to boot off 2nd drive (no swap) and swap drive mapping and boot off the other drive. Having splash on, activity bar (for lack of better words) moves a bit and gets stuck. Turning splash off and telling kernel to be verbose leads to a blank screen, so I suspect OSol GRUB never gets to loading kernel, but it does not emit any error either.
Hints welcome, but no, I am not rewiring the drives (i.e. I am looking for SW solution to the SW problem). Thanks. Ondrej -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
