Hi Don:

I would create a 3rd primary partition for OpenSolaris. OpenSolaris uses 
a version of grub that's been modified to work with the ZFS file system. 
Because of this, you'll need to back up your existing menu.lst so you 
can add it back to OpenSolaris'.
