However, it was causing enough undue concern that I removed it under bug 6709370. I delivered the updated packages with this fix to b93, but I haven't seen a confirmation it was delivered yet.
If you want to save the configuration file to /etc/X11/xorg.conf directly, you must run nvidia-settings as root. Otherwise just save the xorg.conf in your home directory and move it to /etc/X11 as root.
