For Solaris extra packages, one can use blastwave.org http://www.blastwave.org/howto.html which provides pkg-get for installing extra softwares. Also you can have look at http://sunfreeware.com .
If you want to set the keyboard layout you can set it in /boot/solaris/bootenv.rc .Sample entry for UK keyboard would be setprop keyboard-layout 'UK-English' Xorg is auto-configured while stating up . It creates a hidden file /etc/X11/.xorg.conf file. Which you can copy it to /etc/X11/xorg.conf file and add your settings to it. ~ Pradhap.D On Dec 27, 2007 4:23 PM, A.Belahcene <belahcene at yahoo.com> wrote: > Hi, > I 've installed the opensolaris (in-preview), it is uncomplete of course, > since it just contains ONE cd. > I want to complete it, > I am new to solaris and I used debian, > first : is there something like apt-get of debian ? > second: where to find sites to download other package, for example the > graphic tool for smc ( solaris manager console )? > > There is no way to configure the keyboard ?
