Simply try a more recent version. From nv_64 onwards, it is included, and you don't need any of this. If you really want to run an older version, there are some commands on that link cited, and I guess you'd have encountered a problem in an earlier command if you had no network installed. wget http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/laptop/downloads/wpi-0.1-pkg.tar.gz did this go through smoothly ?
