I am new to OpenSolaris. I have been assigned a Monitoring Job for Monitoring Zones and Add/remove Patches to the Hosts under Zones.I am new to zones too.Before the project starts, I am curious to learn Solaris Container Manager ( which is same as Zone Management I guess!!!) and so I have recently found OpenSolaris CD from Linux For You Magazine.I am planning to run OpenSolaris on VMware.I have a job to work on Sparc T1000 Sun Fire Machine. Will OpenSolaris on Ubuntu Linux VMWare is enough to learn the entire process..I need the same virtual environment which to some extend shud Match with Sparc Machine ie commands, resource management. Pls Suggest
