I have the same problem. Well almost the same. My sound doesn't work at all and when I try to click the sound icon in the menubar it replies with a popup saying "The volume control did not find any elements and/or devices to control. This means either that you don't have the right GStreamer plugins installed, or that you don't have a sound card configured.
You can remove the volume control from the panel by right-clicking the speaker icon on the panel and selecting "Remove From Panel" from the menu." or when i try to open up volume control it replies saying "No volume control GStreamer plugins and/or devices found." whats up? everything worked fine on ubuntu. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
