I am scratching my head a bit here. All I know about Java is that you can
write the application one time and it should run on any system, from Windows,
to Mac, to Solaris, provided of course that they have a JRE. Supposedly the
same is true of Mono.

What I actually experience is that applications written in Java, like Azureus,
won't run. I don't understand. With Mono, being based off .Net in the first
place, I expect to be faulty. Tomboy notes does not work. No big surprise
there. Mono is only there to push people back towards using Windows. But
Java, that is Sun right?

Ok, Maybe I am doing something wrong. Somebody help me. I download Vuze from
SorceForge. I extract it. I go into the file. I run ./azureus but it give me
an error. What did I do wrong? Does anyone else actually run this program.
It isn't like I really, really need the program but I am getting sick and tired
of the fact the I can't seem to get Java programs to work. They should work,
shouldn't they? I am all up to date with Java and all.

Please hear me out for what I am really saying. I am not attacking Java. I
want to run Java applications. I would much rather run Tomboy in Java than
have to deal with Mono. They have Tomboy for Android written in Java but even
that won't work.

Oh, and where can I find a list of programs written in Java that I can use with
OpenSolaris?
