I will report the transfer rates. Right now with EON I have a kind of 'weird' behavior: The NAS is connected via GB-LAN; transfer rates are only ~10MBytes/s. The box reads ~80MB, like into a buffer, than it stops for a sec with heavy HD activity, than it starts transferring again. I wonder if this is because of garbage collection or the compression property I switched on (following the advice from the zfs manual). I want to make sure it is not because of the EON live system. Apart from this the NAS is running now 8 weeks uninterrupted (self-recovering from power failures, I live in the Canadian countryside ;-). sandra -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
