Hi, ALL, I re-install the system, updated it and then install OSS sound system. (ref: "Sound is off" thread in this forum).
Now, when I bring "Device Driver Utility" I see the "oss_ich" driver under my "Intel Corporation 82801AA AC97 Audio Controller" card. However, the sound icon on the top panel in GNOME is still crossed out red. Doing right-click on it and selecting "Open Volume Control" gives window that says: "Volume Control: Unknown Volume Control 1 (Sun Audio Mixer)". Also "Audio MIDI interface (MPU401 UART)" in "Device Driver Utility" is still shows up as missing. Thank you. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
