Hi, I'm trying to install (via Jumpstart) OpenSolaris 2009.06 Sparc automatic installer image (iso downloaded from Opensolaris.com) onto my V240 without much success!
Here's the error that I get after issuing "boot net2 - install" from the V240 alom: System identification complete. Starting Solaris installation program... Searching for JumpStart directory... Using rules.ok from 10.19.7.30:/jumpstart/SOL10. Checking rules.ok file... Using profile: V240 Using finish script: finish Executing JumpStart preinstall phase... Searching for SolStart directory... Checking rules.ok file... Using begin script: install_begin Using finish script: patch_finish Executing SolStart preinstall phase... Executing begin script "install_begin"... Begin script install_begin execution completed. cat: cannot open /cdrom/.cdtoc cat: cannot open /cdrom/.cdtoc expr: syntax error expr: syntax error cat: cannot open /cdrom/.cdtoc expr: syntax error ERROR: Could not load the media (/cdrom) Solaris installation program exited. My Jumpstart server (Sparc) is on the same subnet as the client and I have copied the iso image to the jumpstart server and mounted it as follows: lofiadm -a /DAS/GRW/ISO/Sparc/OpenSolaris/2009.06/osol-0906-ai-sparc.iso mount -F hsfs -o ro /dev/lofi/3 /OpenSol Any help is much appreciated.
