That link gives instructions for building MPlayer-1.0rc2. The MPlayer download page describes that version as "outdated", and recommends using a current Subversion snapshot, which is what the original poster was trying to do.
If MPlayer-1.0rc2 is all you want, you might as well download the binary from Blastwave: there's no point in compiling it yourself. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
