Not supporting ext2/ext3/ntfs out of the box it's somewhat of a drawback, but while the sun engineers are still busy writing their kick-ass extfs driver, for us desktop mortals there is a simple way to access ext (and it looks like ntfs, too) partitions by installing http://www.belenix.org/binfiles/FSWpart.tar.gz http://www.belenix.org/binfiles/FSWfsmisc.tar.gz packages, and afterwards just mounting the filesystems. There's a wiki with simple instructions somewhere out there - http://tinyurl.com/ln3q9p or http://www.iiitmk.ac.in/wiki/index.php/How_to_Mount/Unmount_NTFS,FAT32,ext3_Partitions_in_Opensolaris_5.11_snv_101b Cheers, Einar
