No, this is a SXCE 99 install issue with the font software used
in the postinstall & action scripts in those packages, depending
on the installation method used.   The workaround, as you've
discovered, is to pkgrm and re-pkgadd the affected packages while
running the OS (which has the correct font software installed as
part of the install, while it's missing in the install environment
for some install methods).
