The OpenSolaris grub replaces the Ubuntu grub when you install OpenSolaris.

Boot up into Ubuntu, find the old Ubuntu menu grub configuration file. I know
Ubuntu pretty well, I think the file is:

/boot/grub/menu.lst

Now display the contents with a "cat" command or edit it with nano or vi and
copy and paste the contents of the file here in the forum and then print out a
hard copy for yourself so you can study it. Now find the REAL OpenSolaris grub
file, which is no easy task because I think in snv_86 there's actually a "fake"
grub file in there somewhere around /boot/grub/menu.lst that threw me on the
wrong trail for a bit last time I was fiddling around with grub. I have found
the OpenSolaris grub menu configuration file before but I'm on my girlfriend's
Windows machine right now and I don't remember the location off the top of my
head. I will say that it's in some totally crazy ZFS place where you'll
probably never find it, maybe it's in:

/rpool/boot/grub/menu.lst

but since I'm not on an OpenSolaris computer right now, I'm not 100% sure.

Once you find the OpenSolaris grub file copy and paste it in here and print out
a hard copy for your self (make a backup copy of it on your hard drive too).
Then edit the OpenSolaris menu.lst file to add in the entries that the Ubuntu
grub had that the Solaris grub doesn't have.
