whoops, I meant to say type in: "ifconfig -a" and not "ipconfig -a"
I just came out of a CISCO class (netacademy b.s.) and the bastards there force us to use Microsoft Windows (ever seen a working version of CISCO packet tracer software for Solaris? I haven't). Anyway, being around those crappy MS computers and being forced to use their crummy CLI for 5 hours straight before posting in this forum is definitely having a negative effect on me. It could have been worse though. I could have told him to type in: "ipconfig /all". If I ever do that, then you can feel free to throw the rotten tomatoes at me. BTW, I'm really starting to dislike CISCO as a company after taking that class and discovering their pro-Microsoft bias. How can you teach a class on TCP/IP and not cover essential Unix / Linux utilities like tcpdump, nmap and arping? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
