So, I sort-of got it working on OpenSolaris 2008.11-preview. I am going to guess that it would be about the same (I had the exact same issues) with the older version.
Here's what I did: Intstalled SUNWdhcs, dhcsb, dhcm packages for DHCP. Touched /usr/dt/config/sessionetc Ran utcfg -A <SUBNET> Got an error about firmware - ignored. Restarted server. Plugged in Sun Ray, and.... 26D. Ugh. Went back, started Xnewt :2 export DISPLAY=:2 gnome-session and now I'm typing from that session. It seems that GDM is quite screwed. Or at least the config is. gdmgreeter, when run on display :2 , complains that the version 2.20.8 of GDM is not the same as the greeter, but it doesn't look like the Sun Ray stuff changes any of that..so I'm not sure what the deal is with that. Anyone from Sun have any clues how to hack this together? -Matt -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
