Ok, I'll try to give a little cookbook:

1) Enable CUPS printing (print-manager -s cups)
2) Download Epson driver for C63 (AKA "Cups+Gimp-Print 4.2.6"). You will find
it at linuxprinting.org
3) Enter CUPS manager with root user or role (Applications -> System Tools ->
Manage Printing). Browser will open with address http://localhost:631/
4) Click "Add Printer"
5) Put Printer Name (and fill in other fields if you wish). Click "Continue"
6) Select Port AppSock/HP JetDirect and click "Continue"
7) In Device URI type file://dev/printers/1 (you can discover the path by
looking /var/adm/messages - good luck) and click "Continue"
8) In the "Or Provide PPD file", click "File..." then select the PPD file you
have downloaded (you may need to uncompress the file!). Click "Continue"
9) Select Model/Driver "Epson Stylus Color C63 - CUPS+Gimp Print 4.2.6" (or
something similar)
10) Click "Add Printer"

This should do the trick. At least, it worked for me, and now I can print from
OpenSolaris.

Regards,

Edson.
